Lakmal Alahakoon and Samantha Ekanayaka are graduates of the University of Kelaniya. Shortly after completing their studies, they began their careers with leading tour agencies, where they gained hands-on experience in the travel and hospitality industry. Over time, they specialized in tour design, refining their skills and deepening their understanding of travelers' needs. In 2016, they took a significant step forward by becoming National Tour Guide Lecturers, a role that offered them firsthand insight into the realities and potential of Sri Lanka's tourism sector. Motivated by their experiences and a shared passion for sustainable travel, they co-founded Lanka Eco Trails — a venture dedicated to promoting responsible tourism and authentic Sri Lankan experiences. With over fifteen years of professional experience in the travel industry, he has established himself as a skilled Tour Operator and licensed National Tour Guide in Sri Lanka, delivering expertise and excellence in tourism services.
